Background

Mrs. Linh Nguyen was already a successful business owner of 6 electronic retail stores in Saigon City, Vietnam (1983-1995). Leaving behind all assets to her ex-husband in exchange for full custody of her son, Linh came to the United States in 1995 to reunite with her parents and five siblings. Stepping off the plane with $75 in her pocket and her 12-year-old son, Linh started all over from scratch. Her initial intention was to become a pediatrician. She attended school and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a B.A. in Biology in 2002, and a B.S. in Psychology in 2004.

While attending college, she also worked at Ben Bridge, Gordon, and Kay Jewelers. She discovered a love of the jewelry industry but was disappointed with the limited knowledge of the jewelry stores’ staff and the low level of customer service they provided.

She eventually concluded nothing would make her happier than to work with her ideas, mesmerize customers with new designs, provide the highest quality merchandise, and offer the most exceptional level of customer service. Linh attained the distinctive title of Graduate Gemologist in 2008 and gained the complete confidence to run all aspects of a world-class business in fine jewelry.

Formation

Inspired by the legend of The Hope Diamond, American Blue Diamonds opened its doors as a family-owned, full-service fine jewelry store in 2005. Mrs. Linh Nguyen, owner, and the president is proud of her well-established jewelry business at 11066 Pecan Park Blvd, D409, in Cedar Park, TX 78613 (next to Party City). Her store offers a complete spectrum of jewelry services, from original design to wax, to casting, to setting stones, to polishing and presenting the final jewelry product. Customers can now have the ring of their dreams made to their exact specifications.

Always reaching higher, Linh elected to learn how to create original and unique jewelry from the stone up. To accomplish this, she studied the fundamentals of Computer Aided Jewelry Design and purchased the Matrix CAD software and a wax milling machine from the Gemvision Corporation in 2009. Later, she trained in laser welding technology and purchased a Laser Welder from the Laser Star Corporation in 2011. Mrs. Nguyen subsequently gained an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Jewelry and CAD Design at Austin Community College in 2012, graduating with honors. She kept up with the latest technologies, trained in and purchased a specialized 3-D jewelry printer from the Digital Wax Corporation in 2013. Additionally, she graduated from Texas A & M University in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and gained more confidence to lead her business to the next level of advantage. Linh’s customers benefit directly from her extensive education, constant gain knowledge, and work ethics. She has earned a loyal following from many satisfied customers for 12 years.

Unlike most of the competitors, Linh has made it possible for customers to have jewelry appraised on-site for insurance purposes in one hour or less. She offers trade-in credit of estate jewelry for new jewelry, and cash for unwanted silver, gold, platinum, palladium, pearls, colored gemstones, and diamonds.

Most repairs for jewelry, watches, and eye-glasses can also be completed in one hour with laser welding equipment and an experienced jeweler.

Currently, a student in Doctoral Studies in Business with a Marketing concentration at Pace University, New York City, New York, Linh plans to bring her company to the next level of marketing, and she is looking forward to expanding her business globally.
